Yay After 4 years of no TV - I have one.
Make that partially "yay!" - with a small "Y".
In this part of the planet, there are like say 10 TV stations, that are all transmitted from like 3 or 4 locations, so I get 3 x 10 TV stations.
And it's mostly fucking crap.
Firstly there are the 24/7 advertisement broadcasters - selling the same fucking adds, rolling over, and over and over...
Not the old Bullet Blender, but the NEW mega nutrition Super Bullet Blender... which unlocks ALL the nutrition by blending all food into a mushy shit like consistency.
"What you mean you people are too fucking stupid to chew your food?"
And the FAT FREE cooking pans - with loads of old molls salivating away as it cooks, and quick cuts between cameras, between the frying meat balls and the fat bitches with their arses parked in the studio set up as a fake kitchen.
And they have that "Oh WOW I am getting fucked in the arse with a big black dildo!" look on their faces...
Not that the brainless fat fucks would ever buy a push bike, instead of carting their lard arses around in American gas guzzlers, running on the oil stolen from 10 million dead Iraquies....
So there is like 15 channels of garbage like that.
And then there are things like SBS, and the ABC.
The ABC is a bit of a fucking joke - or the news side of it is. You see there are a whole heap of 24/7 news shows on the one channel - You know - the regular non stop news, the prime time "current affairs" and later in the evening, an assortment of "in depth" serious looks at the issues...
But the dumb fucks are all running the same news, all day, all night, just with different presenters... and maybe the odd guest interviewee sprinkled amongst the usual tripe.
So your seeing the same, identical shit, at 6am that you see at 11pm... just with different glove puppets.
2 or so days in, I am thinking, basically who I'd like to fuck in the all night music program called RAGE.
That is when I kind of became MORE aware of the issues that the endless brainless tits and arse parade of bimbos, in the fashion magazines, really have nothing on girls with a personality and talent.
And there is nothing more interesting than a kind of ugly, skinny, titless chick, with a funny fucking head, who is a genuinely decent person, who is lots of fun and is a go getter....
And she plays bass in a band - and there are a couple of them that come to mind.
It doesn't mean I hear wedding bells, but the fat bitches who read Womens Weakly and No Idea, can cordially go fuck themselves, with their battery operated IQ.
But this is another story for another day.
So the fucking free to air TV stations are only good for switching off and bypassing and the issue of selective viewing, comes into the fore.
How did I come into a TV.
Well the internet got kind of fucking boring. I like some pure fucking escapism and sci-fi movies....
Almost all of the "crapfest of movies" on Youtube are just that - crap movies, that not only could not and would not make it to the cinema, they would not make it to the midnight to dawn B grade movie shows.
But there are loads of them on Youtube.... most of them are not even worth watching.
Porn = yawn. The second 10 million cunts, looks like the first 10 million cunts - and internet fucking has so very little to do with having a personality and an imagination.
Chat sites = full of insipid fucks with IQ's smaller than their shoe size.
Some science type sites... good reading - but only for a couple of hours a day.
Email = not the chatty sort.
Youtube = Well the folks running Google have fucked that and Google and their "Google +" have turned what was once a profitable and FUN website, into a Naziware copy of Facebook, complete with sharing all your shit with the rest of the planet, and the usual global surveillance spyware.
And the news these days looks more and more like copy paste churnalism - with either insipid bare faced bullshit from Murdock and his ring licking arse kissers or some American variant of the same crap.
I woke up this morning and flicked the fuck-fest of corporate crap on and about the only thing to watch was an OLD Dr Who movie, "Invasion of the Daleks", that was kind of all right - IF and ONLY if, it had of been an uninterrupted broadcast.
But the free to air fuckwits had really chopped it up with endless adds, that you get 5 minutes of adds, for every 3 minutes of largely non eventful old movie.
After about 2 or 3 add breaks, I thought, "Dr Who fan or not, I don't have time for this shit."
I think the main idea these days is to make the $10 set top box from a garage sale, ONLY include the actual stations that show content.
And to ONLY watch what is GOOD viewing, and ignore the rest.
I do like a good bit of sci-fi fantasy. It's both good for the imagination and as a bit of escapisim.
But then again so is going to the park with some pens and paper and drawing up plans, parts, schedules and component lists....
I am looking forward to the NEW Star Wars movie coming out - when ever?, as the prereleases look great.
The old Star Wars movies - I have seen them so often, over so many decades that it's kind of "Hmmmmmmmmm yeah I'd like to watch them now and then, but having a great memory ruins it..."; and you know you only watch it while your doing other things, or eating dinner - and fast forwarding to the action bits, means that it's probably best parked in the corner for a decade before rewatching it again.
But apparently SBS has a good sci-fi type show on Monday and Wednesday nights, that and RAGE on the ABC - and the rest can go fuck themselves.
The main reason why I gave TV away was because I really do feel deeply insulted at the pure fucking idiocy of it all.
When that prince guy from Denmark and the chick from Tasmania were getting married, and were at the altar, and about to do the vows and the kiss, the STUPID FUCKING CUNTS who ran I think it was Channel 10, stick in a LOUD and OBNOXIOUS "Happy Harries Second Hand Caravans" ad.
I mean you could not pick a more tactlessly moronic moment to put in a more contexturally inappropriate add like that. But they did.
The station is run and staffed by fuckwits.
And I used to be a fan of Stargate Atlantis - day dreaming away about fucking Amanda Tapping while getting a Sci-Fi fix...
(It's ALL woman!!)
Although the series was getting staler, and staler, with crappier and crappier ideas to run as stories in an overall plot - it was still pretty good to passable.
But the fuckwits running channel 10, decided to run 6 x 20 second adds in a row, of the pull your cock / finger your cunt over the stripper videos on your mobile phone for only $6 a minute adds... and then the 6 x 20 second ad blocks were run 3 x in succession for every add break during the show...
So your getting a 5 minute add block, of the same 6 adds, run 3 times in succession - and they are stupid finger my cunt on your mobile phone adds...
"Call me, call me now. Look at me fuck my cunt for only $6 a minute."
That is kind of like where you want to punch their heads in - or why even bother turning the TV on - when such STUPID shit is on - the regular annoying little movie breaks in the add show.
The idiots running Channel 10, with their highly variable scheduling - one night it's on at 12 midnight, the next at 12.45am, the next at 11.30pm, and then 1.15am... and all the bullshit adds...
If there was ever a way to kill off fan loyalty to a show, they did it.
And the final straw was sitting at the table, waist deep in the nice deep and very warm tropical flood waters running through my home, and all the fucking IDIOT TV stations were running the same 30 minute news cycle, with perhaps a couple of minutes of new info inserted and a few minutes of the stalest info removed...
All about how half of Australia was under flood water...
Oh fucking DUH!
And I was sitting there wishing to the fuck that someone would run these stupid me-too, copy cat cunts over....
All running the same stories, 24/7, for like 2 or 3 weeks non stop - "Australia is flooded!"
"Oh no fucking shit? - let me just swim out the kitchen through the house and out the front door to check on the river level - wana see if it's flooding or not. Hey yeah it is too - the front yard has more than a meter of water over it - I can tell because it's halfway up the car windows..."
"Fucking retards."
I was really wanting to watch anything else except the brainless fuck 24/7 copycat news reports on all stations, about the flooding.
Like you know - I would have loved to have watched the original series of "Bill and Ben - The Flower Pot Men.", or "The Magic Roundabout."
Some kind of just totally, non thinking, light weight relief....
I think it was very soon after the 2011 floods that I gave my TV and set top box away to the shit head junky next door...
He chose to watch that crap instead of dealing with his issues...
So fuck him and the networks as well.
The crap seems to go hand in hand.
So after 4 years of NO TV, I am back into it, in a very reserved and minimalist kind of a way.
Having a power board with an off button for the lot - the set top box, the monitor and the audio simplifies the issue.
Just "Off and stay off you cunt. You don't come on for another three more days.,"
Just turn it on for RAGE and the Monday night Sci-Fi movies...
And other than that - the TV networks can go fuck themselves.
"You can't say that about the Australian TV networks!"
Why not? If the nation didn't rise up and say no to tobacco adds on TV, the cunts in the TV stations would still be running them.
The drug pushers that have put more people in the ground, in Australia, than Hitler ever did.
The fuckers whine about the crystal meth epidemic that is sweeping the country - but they go conveniently quiet about all the drugs they push for profit - like all the booze (as well) for instance, along with Crap-Donalds and all the junk food advertising - ESPECIALLY during children's viewing times...
Fucking arseholes the lot of them.
The TV stations of Australia are just two faced peddelers of their own self serving, moral bullshit.
"They sell you drugs, toxic junk food, outright lies about happiness, emotional health and consumerism for profit - to make the advertisers give them more money - putting millions of people into an early grave - and then scream like blue murder about Ivan Milat being a dangerous murdering fruit cake, and what a horrible industry the drugs and prostitution are."
Here are two of my favourite scenes of these hypocritcal shits in action.
Mark Reid owned Kerry Anne Kennely and Alan Jones
A Youtube joke about Jones:
What does Alan Jones and a Wellington boot have in common? They both get sucked off in the bog.
And "old kennelhead, what a loser"
Fuckwit.
Susan Butler is the editor of The Macquarie Dictionary - She is super cool and the presenters - politically correct douches..
The full transcript from the old media watch site:
On Seven's opposition breakfast show last week they were having troubles of their own - and it began with David Koch being blokey with football commentator Mark Beretta after the Wallabies'* loss in Cape Town.
David Koch: What happened to the boofhead? Did anything happen to him for holding him in backplay?
Mark Beretta: No.
David Koch: No.
Mark Beretta: Except he’s been called a boofhead on Australian television.
Next morning Dave and Melissa Doyle reported complaints about bad language.
Melissa Doyle: Well that got us thinking: just what sort of language offends these days? Sue Butler is from the Macquarie Dictionary. Sue, good morning to you. Thank you for coming in.
Sue Butler: Good morning.
Melissa Doyle: Boofhead. I wouldn’t have thought boofhead was an offensive word.
Sue Butler: No. I’ve always thought of it as having an affectionate sort of tone. Boofhead comes from the French word buffle meaning buffalo.
Their mistake was to encourage Butler to explore the issue more widely.
Sue Butler: Today’s taboos are all about labels that you use for people. So that the sentence, “you are a” is practically a no no. You cannot use...
David Koch: Even if you use boofhead.
Sue Butler: Even if you use boofhead because you’re putting it in the same context as things which are clearly rude. You know: “You are a fuckwit.” Well, obviously we know that’s bad.
And the moment Sue Butler drew breath she got the guillotine.
Melissa Doyle: Sue thank you so much for coming in. Big can of worms there.
David Koch: Appreciate your time.
Melissa Doyle: Appreciate your time.
After the ad break David and Melissa were back to make their apologies.
Voiceover: From brekkie central it's back to David Koch and Melissa Doyle.
Melissa Doyle: Welcome back you’re watching Sunrise, Live at Brekkie Central. We must make a very quick apology. In our last interview you might have heard a word used by our guest we do not condone on this program so we wrapped the interview up relatively quickly as you might have noticed. So our apologies to anyone who might have taken offence to that word. Its not one that will ever be repeated.
There's an old saying round newsrooms: when you find yourself in a hole, stop digging. Not these two. Next morning they were back responding to viewer emails on the expert from Macquarie and the F-word crisis.
David Koch: Well done for handling the situation professionally, but the lady looked so prim and proper – caught us by surprise too – and then came out with that saying. I thought it really funny but of course completely inappropriate and improper for that time of morning.
Melissa Doyle: Specially when kids are watching. We’re very well aware that kids are watching and you know –
David Koch: Eighteen minutes to 9 o’clock.
They brought child psychologist Dr John Irvine into the studio to try to clean up the mess.
Dr John Irvine: Swearing has to be short, sharp, it’s got to be plosive in the way it comes out – like saying, Oh, bother.
Melissa Doyle: Don’t say it. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
David Koch: We’re paranoid here. We’re on the edge of our seat.
And Dr Irvine's advice?
Dr John Irvine: A good technique is to say, sit down I think we need to talk about that word, what it means.
The gang at Sunrise could look up "fuckwit" in Sue Butler's Macquarie Dictionary.
Fuckwit: Noun. Colloquial; a nincompoop.
- The Macquarie Dictionary
But David Coch told some great jokes:
"John Howard went skiing and his bodyguard saw 'John Howard is a Dork' peed into the snow...Johnny went off and told his guard to get a sample of it and find out who did it at all costs...The guard returned a day later and said we have good and bad news...Johnny asked what the good news was, and the guard retorted that it was Kim Beazley's urine...Johnny says right, he's stuffed now – throw the book at him...What's the bad news? The guard grins and says it was in Janette's handwriting."

This is about Freeview.... and the fact that I have like 3 or 4 x 10 identical sets of shows to watch - and how the Freespew consortium didn't like having the piss taken out of them, and how they lied to cover it up....

Freeview – the Great Aussie TV swindle ?
aturner – February 9, 2009
http://digihub.theage.com.au/node/275
“Only devices which meet Freeview’s “technical requirements” will be allowed to license the Freeview logo, which means they must offer a seven day EPG, they can’t offer ad-skipping and they can’t offer an easy way to copy recordings off the box. Devices which don’t meet the Freeview requirements, such as some ad-skipping PVRs from Topfield and Beyonwiz, won’t be able to display the Freeview logo. Freeview’s Parkes says it’s too early to say if such devices will be allowed to use the Freeview EPG interface without the logo. Some vendors aren’t waiting to find out, with Beyonwiz’s Australia distributor Digital Products Group already working on a dumbed-down Freeview-compliant Beyonwiz recorder.
=============
I have both a “Toppy” and a Beyonwiz (Korean technology) both of which permit easy transfer of HD content to a computer where it can be edited and uploaded to YouTube (for instance). I have done it and no doubt a few people have watched “easy to transfer to USB or via a home computer network content” (including High Definition) to a computer which I have uploaded to YouTube.
As it stands Freeview is a further erosion of our civil liberties. It uses the same digital signals currently being broadcast but insists that devices which carry the “Freeview” logo be dumbed down and made less user friendly.

Freeview TV ad parody disappears from YouTube.
A parody of the Freeview TV commercial was yanked from YouTube but why? Freeview Marketing Manager Liz Howarth denied they had made a complaint but Google soon revealed they had received a DMCA takedown notice from lawyers acting on behalf of Freeview Australia Limited. Watch it here.
This is another example of the total lack of ethics and integrity of the people in the Australian TV industry......

Why we were banned
This is the ad that got banned by the commercial networks. Watch and read more below. This election campaign, News Corp has used the front pages of its tabloids to launch aggressive political campaigns against one side of politics, while failing to scrutinise the other.
That's why we created this ad. We want to call News Corp's campaign out for what it it: biased crap. We want to show there is a movement of Australians who aren't going to stand idly by while one man tries to tell an entire nation how to vote.
Together, GetUp members raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to make a massive ad buy, standing up to News Corp on millions of TV screens across the country.
So why aren't you seeing the ad on tv?
Turns out, not everyone is as keen to stand up to a billionaire media mogul as we are.
After GetUp members chipped in money to put this on air we immediately made bookings.
Channel 10 said outright on the phone that they wouldn't run the ad because it criticises another media outlet. Lachlan Murdoch is on the company's board. We're sure the two are totally unrelated.
Channel 7 refused the ad because "the creative execution was considered distasteful and potentially offensive to our audience, so we have decided to make a stand." So noble. We created a new version of the ad with the 'offensive' bits blurred out. They didn't respond.
Channel 9 at least approved the ad, and ran it for four days. In fact, 615,800 people have already seen it on 9 across Brisbane. On Monday, they pulled the ad, and blamed it on a "coding error," saying it never should have run. Whoopsadaisey.
That's all three of Australia's major commercial networks banding together to suppress media criticism. What's more, it's happening in an election period where Australians ought to have the freedom to express their opinions and to criticise and speak truth to power.
We have lodged a complaint with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
In the last 18 hours, other media have cottoned-on and run with the story. They've created a media storm that's seen us on the front page of The Age and Sydney Morning Herald websites, run on ABC and SBS, and much more. The story is only gathering momentum.
Because of the network's refusal to play fair, the ad is likely to be seen, discussed, and shared by more people than if the original ad buy had have gone ahead.
You can see some of the coverage on ABC and The Age here. Also view this cracking piece from The Conversation
Fighting for a free, fair and independent media is something GetUp has done since day one. We're not about to stop.
