OK sliced bread toasters come in two basic sorts - ones that have heaps of fucking cooking power and ones that don't.

In my terminal psy-fucking-chosis, where I really do not have the tolerance for standing beside a gutless 2 slice toaster and crawls along for 5 minutes just to warm up, prior to browning the bread - and my last one having died from cheapness and nastyness of design...

I went looking for a NEW toaster....

Now the really shit hot toasters are like 2 slice toasters that use like 2200 watts - and they cook really FAST.

They also have proper elements in quartz glass or metal tubes...

But they cost a shit load - seriously expensive commercial kitchen type gear.

But there is a mid point between crap-tastic appliances with glossy enamel and biscuit tin internals,  and units that have a reasonable amount of power...

The trouble is that there are so many idiot stores run by idiot management and technically clueless people, who might advertise 10 types of bullshit cheap toasters but they never tell you the power consumption of the toasters.

Or any other relevant information, about anything, really.

And they INSIST on putting every little detail on more of this fucking click through shit...

Now mindful that this has taken some 2 months to get this information....

The 1200W toaster, will take about 1/2 a long as the cheapest crap toaster coming in at 750W....

That is why you need to know this shit.

If you can sit down, read the paper and pop out a few slices at your leisure - by all means buy the cheapest crap one...

But if your somewhat mental like me, and want "Bread in. PING, toast out" then get the 1200W model.

But it's the fact that they don't advertise this information WITH the product AND they fill the websites up with useless fucking click through shit....

I want, "Brand X toaster, 2 slice, 1200W, takes bread and crumpets, $59.95." - directly underneath the picture.

It saves all the fucking around when you have to look at 10 different toasters to weed out the psychosis inducing candle powered cookers.

I guess I just hate fucking stupid - on the blatantly obvious.

I have one of the Lenovo G570 Laptops. And this is really BAD. The first one is that the management of Lenovo have done a deal with Microsoft to install an Operating System on the hard drive, and they claim that allocating a "special area" of the hard drive for recovery purposes, is a solution in case of "some kind of OS / Hard Drive problem - but they do not give you a copy of the OS on a DVD, to reinstall it, in case the OS crashed or a new HDD was needed etc.... This means that IF your operating system corrupts, your going to be facing a HUGE and BAD uphill battle to get a copy of YOUR operating system from Lenovo. No doing on the spot brain surgery on your own lap top by reinstalling the OS... No. This comes down to you not getting a 20c DVD with your operating system on it, Vs. hours fighting with idiots on the phone and days and or weeks waiting around for the DVD to arrive - if ever.
