Big W - actually technologically worse than the losers at Aldi.


I hate "fucking stupid" from a whole range of perspectives; and I hate brainlessly fucking lazy.

The shits who manage Aldi, it's suppliers and it's woefully "fucking stupid" marketing dept, has been topped by the useless fucks of Big W.

I thought, "You'd have to perform miracles, to top Aldi's efforts", and the shits at Big W have done it.


OK the idiots at Aldi will typically advertise something like a torch...

But they will say something clever like, "Torch. Makes light. Shines in the dark."


No fucking shit. I am so glad that is sorted out.

But they won't tell you how many lumens / watts it puts out. They won't say what types of batteries it takes or how many. They don't say how long the torch will run on a fresh set of batteries, at what light output settings. Whether it's water proof, and to what depth etc.

Aldi is good at demonstrating their clueless bullshit.

But the clowns running Big W, ARE actually WORSE.

For instance, I kind of think a cheap "action cam" could be useful.

And such considerations as the following, are necessary.

1. The image / video size/s, it takes.

2. The video and picture formats like AVI, JPG etc., etc., etc.

3. The camera connections like USB,  HDMI, 3.5mm audio etc.

4. Zoom - the amount and types (mechanical and digital).

5. How long it runs on a full charge, and can it be powered by USB, or an external battery pack?

6. What size in Gigs, is the maximum micro-SD card it can use for storage.

7. Does it transmit data by WI-FI, etc.

8. and a ton of other stuff.

Lenovo and IBM - the Great Motherboard Replacement Scam

I have one of the Lenovo G570 Laptops. And this is really BAD. The first one is that the management of Lenovo have done a deal with Microsoft to install an Operating System on the hard drive, and they claim that allocating a "special area" of the hard drive for recovery purposes, is a solution in case of "some kind of OS / Hard Drive problem - but they do not give you a copy of the OS on a DVD, to reinstall it, in case the OS crashed or a new HDD was needed etc.... This means that IF your operating system corrupts, your going to be facing a HUGE and BAD uphill battle to get a copy of YOUR operating system from Lenovo. No doing on the spot brain surgery on your own lap top by reinstalling the OS... No. This comes down to you not getting a 20c DVD with your operating system on it, Vs. hours fighting with idiots on the phone and days and or weeks waiting around for the DVD to arrive - if ever.
