Mobile Phone Plans - and the Mega Value Scam
I hate stupid game playing people - I really do.
Especially the people, who manage phone companies, who offer mobile phone plans.
The ones that are the real fucking idiots, are the ones who offer, "$2000 worth of FREE call credit every month".
Well for starters, it's not free, you have to pay for it to get it.
And nestled away in the fine print is that they are charging some bullshit rates that include a $5 call connection fee, $5 for the first 30 seconds between 11pm and 7am, and $10 between 7am and 7pm and $15 between 7pm and 11pm.
And the calls get billed in their banana buck currency at a rate of $5.50 per minute off peak and $10.50 peak... so on average for the Lite Users Plan at $99.99 a month, you get about 1 hours call time.
This was the grand scam of things when mobile phones and call rates became vaguely affordable - about 15 years ago....
And all the idiot telco's in Australia did it....
The worst of course, typically was Telstra.
And to think some 15 years later, the phone service providers are still pulling the Mega Call Credits bullshit scam.
The managers of Vodaphone, Optus and Telstra are still doing it and most of the smaller companies that run on the Telstra networks do it.
I wish to the fuck they would grow up and quit their idiot double speak - and quit trying to rip people off via their scamster chat, for all they can.
I never had much tolerance to retarded scam artists.
The other thing that pisses me off about them, is that now how much of the Australian population have said, "Hey for the same price as a TELSTRA land line RENTAL only, we can get unlimited call plans on a mobile with 4Gig of data thrown in." - and people enmass are dumping the land lines and using mobile for calls and data / internet.
Well the pricks are now going on the gouge for that pricing also.
They are all cutting back on the data per dollar, and ramping the cost of it right up as well.
The best of the data plans were 10G of data per month, for $30 and now they are all ramping the cost of that up to $100+ - within the space of a month or two.
They are all winding back on the amount of included data - Aldi - running on the scummy Telstra network are real pricks for this - as are many others.
From $35 per month, unlimited calls + 4G of data - with successive wind backs in about 6 months, to still charging $35 and now giving only 40 minutes of talk time per day and 2.5G of data....
Personally I think the entire telco industry is guilty of price fixing - as the price rises and the drops in call time and data use are an industry wide issue... sort of incrementally on the individual plans and in totality on ALL the plans by all the providers.
When wealth is measured not by relationships and health and how much you can share, but by money and things, and the banks and Telco's rate their social value in the "Mine Mine Mine" cash grabbing gouge they call their "service", in the long run it's such an empty greedy selfish and shallow thing to call an achievement.
I even blundered across that bastion of bullshit called Business Review Weekly - what a crock of shit.
"Ohhhhhh success! Success! Success! - More and MORE and MORE profits and shares and even more profits and shares....."
These people ARE successful - look at all their MONEY.....
Ugh what bullshit.
And in the mean time, the bullshit artists in the Telco industry continue to sell their retarded mega banana bucks mobile phone plans - with $2000 of call credits for only $99.99 a month....
I refuse to buy them, and life goes on.
