I survived the crapfest of consumer mind fuck, mostly by ignoring it.
I have some great projects in the pipeline.
I have $2 for food, for the next 4 days, a few bits of this and that to eat, as well as 17Kg of dry chick pease.
Actually it's a pretty good food to cook with....
The paste fortifies soups, salads and it's a great meal food, by and of it's self.
Makes great dips, goes well with many sauces, spices and condiments.
Looking forward to some nice fresh vegetables and salad sammiches though.
Madly in love with Mogz who is a brilliant friend - but is slowly conking out through old age.
I think death is like driving a car with leaking brakes. One day you come to a set of red lights, and no matter how much you pump the brakes - your just not going to stop and sailing along through the lights, and into the intersection you go, and the only thing that goes through your mind is, "Oh no - looks like I am fucked."
You don't really think it - you just have that perception.
No matter, everyone gets a turn.
Mogz will be getting looked out for over the last mile. To be sure.
I have decided that I want an anvil - a big one - big as far as anvils go...
It's to go with my rather excellent hammer collection - I don't mean exotic,top dollar alloy steel heads from Switzerland; I mean a good practical mix of head sizes, handle lengths, and head types.
There are few things as satisfying as making things by hand and hammer.
Anvils cost $$$$ though...
I figure that I can price the melt and casting, but make my own pattern and supply my own steel, with some alloy adjustment and possible heat treating.
Now where to acquire 330 Kg of rail track in 1/2 meter lengths? - 250Kg for the anvil and 75Kg for the runners and risers and the residual for losses etc.
Add in a little extra carbon, manganese, silicone, chrome and vanadium..
Hard and tough, without being brittle.
Why did I get on the net tonight?
I figured out a way to do all the connections in a wiring loom, in a symbolic fashion - in pencil and paper and I decided to transfer the schematics into the computer, via a table.
Trouble is that the stupid cunts who make Libre Office ( and Open Office ), decide that because you want to put " = " (the equals sign), as the FIRST piece of text into a regular table - NOT a spreadsheet, that it starts to turn a basic text only table into a spread sheet, and the Calc (MS Excel) functions kick in and take over... row / column
And then your no longer putting text into a table, your entering data into a spread sheet..
So one cancels the Calc function, in the spreadsheet tool bar that just appeared, and that deletes the " = " in ones table...
Then after extensive searching to find the "auto correct" or "automatic formatting" style off switch to this fucking bullshit, and finding none, we go to the next issues.
Of course the cunts - issue number two, do not include a 6 or 7 meg help file, in a 240 meg download of the office suite.
So we have to go on fucking line.
Sure once upon a time I used to like giving feed back about problems, but when you become refined enough to be able to put an issue clearly in like 5 lines or less, the fruit cakes who loiter in the online forums, come crawling out of the wood work, with the usual 10,001 opinions and no solutions etc...
Then they chuck a razz when you tell the retards to fuck off....
So instead of going back down into the basement and into their cages, the forum fuckwits, display their magnanamous talent for unrestrained stupidity..
So I leave the stupids to their feifdoms, and usually look shit up on the net...
And I find that there are actually a fairly high numbers of people who actually fucking hate the stupid cunts that include the auto-complete functions - in bulleting, etc., etc., etc., etc.
And there is NO simple way to TURN the fucking functions OFF.....
Then the stupid cunts have turned the IDIOT Bugzilla (bug reporting) website, into a twitter shit thing.....
140 characters to describe a major fuck up or go navigating through menus to find the place to file a bug report....
There are a LOT of stupid cunts who hang out in the programmer / developer / forums etc...
And they do not like it when you stand up to them - losers....

It's now 3am and I am tired and in a vile "stupid unfriendly" mood.
I will just copy my MS symbolic fonts into the main font directory... which at times, can be a painful bit of bullshit to do, in Linux.... but Linux doesn't collapse into a pile of bug infested bullshit, when idiots edit it or bad code is run - which will kill a MS system.
