Britain to have 1st day without coal since Industrial Revolution

A decade ago, such a feat would have been “unimaginable,” according to Greenpeace. While Britain has in the past used zero coal for a few hours, it has never been able to do so for a full day. On Thursday, the National Grid’s energy control room ran without coal for 19 hours, and on Friday, it’s expected to last the full 24. A National Grid spokesperson said the record low is a sign of things to come, with coal-free days becoming increasingly common. Yes the Noble Little Acer Aspire One, with it's 3 little USB ports.. Mouse + Bigger Keyboard + Tethered Phone = Where do you plug in the camera / USB stick / etc? Well I picked up one of these, and a spare, just in case the original died, and one for a friend. And they have always proven to be totally unreliable.. Some days some ports work, other days, not, but for the most part, neither of them have consistently worked at all. They have the quality and reliability that earns them embedding in the concrete wall - if it wasn't for the fact that they were not fit for anything and they also happened to cost a fair bit at the time.... Tried them on different computers, different hardware plugged in - the dodgy hubs were pretty hit and miss / unreliable across all systems..... They are fucking shit. I wanted to buy some steel tube to make a jack handle.... I figured that 30mm x 30mm (outside size of square tube) with a wall thickness of about 3mm would be about right. But I figured that I'd like the handle to be detachable, and the easiest way, would be to get some slightly larger steel tube to stick the handle in... Sort of like foot in shoe - so to speak. So the drug fucked / pilled out cunt - who is PURE idiot,  always arguing about whether "they can" cut the steel I want to LENGTH - "Ooooorrrr snot very accurate maaaate - might be a few mil out... Just have to wear it mate..." So he thinks that say plus or minus 3 or 4 mm each way of the right length is OK... Well no it's not, and that is what rulers and tape measures are for..... I think plus or minus about 0.25mm each way, is OK for a rough cut. And it takes no more time to measure it wrongly as it does to measure it rightly. On the type of saw I want it cut on.... You know, growing up bisexual is a hard thing.

When I gew up, we were raised on foots and inches, with real concrete mile stones on the highway edges. Then we transitioned to millipedes and centipedes. And as much as I actually DO hate dealing with the FUCKING Merkins and their bullshit 1688 measuring system, I do find my orientation spinning from time to time. It's easier to say and think to people my age, "Ooo fuck that - having 250Kg of motor bike falling 2 and a half feet, off the work bench on top of you...". Than it is to say, "Ooo fuck that - having 550Lb of motor bike falling 750mm off the work bench on top of you...". But some people don't get being bisexual with measurements.

In dealing with some profoundly idiotic people....

There are SOME individuals who I have to deal with from time to time, in the area of drugs, detoxes and rehabs, that are complete and utter cunts. And statistically - it's inevitable that they will be such arseholes for so long, that they get to the point where, even they can't stand living with themselves and then they kill themselves. And like idiots who drive through the wet, cold, dark, twisty mountain roads at high speed, in the middle of the night, during a down pour, with one shitty yellow old head light and bald tyres - you can look at them at the start of their fiasco and say, "They are not going to make it through this."
